Well by now everyone knows "Two-Toes" Martin Guptill (If you don't know, just Google It). Fred Titmus who succumbed to long time illness on this day in 2011 had smilar fate.Fred lost his toes when his left foot brushed against the moving propeller of launch.The ill-omened incident took place during the 1967-68 Caribbean tour .Ironically, the driver of the boat Penny Cowdrey was the wife of then England Cricket team captain Colin Cowdrey.Titmus said. "After all, 'England skipper's wife chops off his deputy's toes' would have been a better story!"
