Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly Official put on 175 runs for opening wicket .This was Indian Cricket Team highest opening stand against Australian Cricket Team in ODI.(record was broken by Dhawan-Sharma when they added 176 runs in the Jaipur ODI.They are also the current record holder with 178 runs , Nagpur )Little master scored blistering 89 ball century studded with seven sixes and five fours, equally supported bySourav Ganguly who made patient 72 runs.They guided India to final with comfortable six wickets victory over Cricket Australia.This was Tendulkar's first century in 1998 ,he went to make further eight ODI centuries in that year a world record.
